In recent years, we have participated in the public bidding processes conducted by the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANP) and acquired offshore exploration blocks in Brazil.

Currently, we have participation in 17 blocks in the Campos, Santos and Sergipe-Alagoas sedimentary basins in partnership with Petrobras, Equinor, Galp, Qatar Energy, Enauta, Murphy and PPSA. Of the 17 blocks, we are operators of 14.

ExxonMobil has also participation in the Bacalhau field, operated by Equinor, in partnership with Galp and PPSA.

As the result of winning bids in the latest bid rounds promoted by the regulator ANP and farm-ins with various companies, ExxonMobil holds interests in the following assets:

In 2021, ExxonMobil started the exploration campaign in the Opal (C-M-789) and Titã blocks, located in the Campos and Santos basins. To maintain the safety and quality of our operations, we invest in the most modern equipment. The drilling of the wells was carried out by West Saturn drillship, considered one of the most innovative on the market. The unit has well control equipment, general equipment for operational safety and pollution prevention.
